Creating a website in several languages
Your website can appear in several languages. As soon as more than one language is published, your website automatically shows a language switcher, and your guests choose their own language.
How to do it
- Finish the main language first. Get your website as complete as you can in one language first. Then you translate everything in one go.
- Add a language. Under Settings → Languages, click Add language, choose the language and confirm with Add language. The new language starts out Hidden for the guests.
- Translate. With the AI in one go, or yourselves, block by block – see below.
- Read it through and publish. Look over the translation, then set the language to Published under Settings → Languages. Now your guests see the language switcher.

The settings under “Languages”
- Published or Hidden for the guests: you can work on a hidden language in peace – your guests can’t see it.
- Primary language: the main language of your website. It’s always published.
- The trash can removes a language again.
- Country variant for AI translations: which country the AI writes for – German for Switzerland (with ss), Germany or Austria, French for France, Switzerland, Belgium or Canada, British or American English, for example.
- The tone of your texts: how the texts the AI translates or writes should sound, for example “informal, warm, a little funny”.
Which languages are available?
You can choose from English, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Dutch, among others. You’ll see the full list under Add language. Is your language missing? Write to us at hallo@crazyinlove.ch – there are several options.
Translating your content
With the AI
The AI translates your whole website in one go, wishes on your wish list included. Save your changes first, then choose Translate with AI in the language menu at the top of the editor. You’ll see every block with its status and translate whatever is missing or out of date. The translations are saved right away, but the language stays hidden until you publish it.

If you change something in the main language later, the dialog shows you which translations are no longer up to date – and you only retranslate those. Everything else about the AI: Using the AI in the editor.
Translating yourselves
Switch the language at the top of the editor and edit the texts as usual. Each block has its texts in every language; pictures, colors and layout are shared by all languages. This is also how you adjust a translation made by the AI.

Emails, guest list and wish list
The emails to your guests and the texts of the guest list and wish list are available in every language too. Just switch the language in the editor and adjust the texts. The AI translates the wishes on your wish list along with everything else.
