Using the AI in the editor
The AI in the editor helps you wherever you get stuck: with that first text, with the wish list or with a second language. Tell it in one sentence what you need and see the result on your website right away. And it’s entirely optional – the editor works perfectly well without AI.
- Opening the AI functions
- Edit a block
- Create a new block
- Creating a wish list with AI
- Choosing a drawing style
- Photo as a drawing
- Translate
- AI budget and credits
- What happens to your information?
Opening the AI functions
At the bottom right of the editor there’s a round button with a sparkle ✨. One click opens the AI functions:
- Edit a block – rewrite a text, shorten it or change how it sounds
- Create a new block – one sentence is enough, and the AI creates the block
- Photo as a drawing – redraw a photo in your colors (still experimental)
- Translate – appears as soon as your website has at least two languages
At the bottom of the window, you’ll see your AI budget with the credits you have left.

💡 While the AI functions are open, clicking a block selects it for the AI – the block doesn’t open. Once you’ve used the AI a few times, you’ll also find an AI button in the toolbar of every block.
Edit a block
- Open the AI functions and choose Edit a block.
- Click the block you want to change. Its name appears at the top of the window.
- Tell the AI what you need, for example “Write how we met: university in Zurich, 2016, first coffee in the cafeteria”. Or click Shorter, Improve, More casual or More formal.
- Send it with Enter or the arrow. A few seconds later, the new text is in the block.

The AI writes all the texts in the block, lists included: it adds, changes, deletes or reorders questions & answers, the entries in the Wedding ABC and the choices in the RSVP form, such as the menus. It leaves pictures, colors and links as they are. It doesn’t make up names, places, dates or prices – so give it those right away.
⚠️ The AI doesn’t save. If you like the result, click Save at the top. If you don’t, tell the AI what to change – or reload the page without saving, and your old text is back.
💡 You can set how the AI should sound under Settings → Languages, in The tone of your texts – something like “informal, warm, a little funny”.
Create a new block
- First click the block the new one should go after. If nothing is selected, it goes at the end of the page.
- Choose Create a new block and describe it in one sentence, for example “An FAQ about the dress code, parking and children”.
- The AI picks the right block, creates it and fills it in. Then you can fine-tune it straight away with Edit a block – and don’t forget to Save.

These are the blocks the AI can create: text (also in two or three columns), countdown, map with place and marker (it looks up the address itself), questions & answers, Wedding ABC, video (include the link to YouTube or Vimeo), registration and wish list. Blocks with pictures you add yourselves. Each website can have only one countdown, one registration and one wish list.
Creating a wish list with AI
In the editor, open the wishes on your wish list. If it’s still empty, click let the AI generate the wish list!; otherwise click the sparkle next to Enter wish. Then:
- Tell us a little about you: Do you already live together? Where are you going on honeymoon? What are you missing?
- Type: both, non-monetary gifts or contributions
- Price: on the low side, medium, or bigger amounts too
- Quantity: 4 to 12 wishes
- Draw pictures too: a picture for every wish, in your drawing style

Click Get suggestions – it takes about half a minute. All the suggestions are ticked; untick whatever shouldn’t go on the list and click Add wishes. If nothing fits, get New suggestions. The AI knows the wishes you already have and only suggests new ones. Afterwards, you can adjust titles, prices, texts and pictures just like any other wish.
The AI draws the pictures one after another, and you can see how many are already done. You can give a single wish a picture too: in the wish’s form, click the sparkle by the picture and choose Create picture. The picture is based on the title and description, so enter a title first. Each wish’s picture can only be redrawn a few times.
Choosing a drawing style
The AI draws every picture in the same drawing style and in the colors of your website – so they all go together. You change the style with the pencil next to Drawing style: you’ll find it in “Create more wishes with AI”, by a wish’s picture and in “Photo as a drawing”. There are eight styles to choose from; Scribble is the default.

A new style applies to the pictures the AI draws from now on; pictures that already exist stay as they are.
💡 Rather have the pictures drawn elsewhere? With Copy the prompt for your own pictures, you can take your style along to ChatGPT, Gemini & co.: paste it in and just replace the subject in the square brackets. That costs no credits.
Photo as a drawing
Still experimental: the AI redraws a photo on your website in your drawing style and your colors – your engagement photo as a watercolor, say.
- Open the AI functions and click a block with a picture: the header image, an images block or a picture & text block.
- Choose Photo as a drawing. If the block has several pictures, pick one.
- Click Draw in this drawing style. This can take a few minutes.
- The new picture is in the block. Save the page to keep it.

The original stays in your picture library. Under Versions of this picture, you can switch between the original and the drawn versions with one click – free of charge. The AI draws JPG, PNG and WebP pictures, each only a few times.
Translate
Once you’ve added another language to your website (Settings → Languages), the AI translates your texts. Here’s how to create a multilingual website.
- Save your changes first – translating reloads the page.
- Choose Translate with AI in the language switcher at the top, or Translate in the AI functions.
- Choose Source and Target, for example German → English. You’ll see every block and the wishes on your wish list with their status: not translated yet, source changed since the translation, your own translation – will be replaced or up to date. Anything missing or out of date is already ticked.
- Click Translate. A bar shows how far along the AI is, and each finished block turns up to date. The translations are saved right away. Finally, click Done – or Reload the page if you currently have the target language open in the editor.

Anything already up to date isn’t translated again. If you change a block later, the editor shows you which translation is out of date – and you only retranslate that one.
Country variant: under Settings → Languages, use Country variant for AI translations to choose which country the AI writes for – German for Switzerland (with ss), Germany or Austria, French for France, Switzerland, Belgium or Canada, British or American English, for example.
When do your guests see the translation? A new language starts out Hidden for the guests. Read through the translation, then set the language to Published under Settings → Languages.
AI budget and credits
The AI costs nothing extra. Every website has an AI budget in credits: one for trying things out, and a bigger one as soon as you activate your website – included in the one-off price. Whatever you use during the trial counts towards it.
- A text, a new block, a translated block or a round of wish suggestions costs a few credits.
- A picture costs a little more, a photo as a drawing the most.
- The exact number is shown on the buttons, and at the bottom of the AI functions when you hover over the AI budget. In the dashboard, “AI use” shows how much you’ve used so far.
The budget is plenty for a wedding website with a wish list and pictures. Once it’s used up, the AI stops writing and drawing – but the editor carries on working as usual. Need more? Write to us at hallo@crazyinlove.ch. After the trial, the AI is only available for activated websites.
What happens to your information?
Your keywords and texts are sent to Anthropic (Claude) for processing and aren’t used there to train AI models. The pictures are drawn by OpenAI’s image model: wish pictures from the wish’s title and description, and for “Photo as a drawing” from your photo.
The AI writes from what you tell it. Still, read it through: check the date, place and prices yourselves before you share your website with your guests.
